Screen wash

Coolants
Ensure your car has enough coolant in its reservoir to cool the engine. The reservoir shows whether you meet the minimum level. It is of the utmost importance that coolants contain sufficient antifreeze during the winter to prevent the coolant from freezing and thus protect it from frost.

Vehicle condition
Please take the proper steps to prepare your car for winter. It's crucial! For example, have your battery checked. It's known that a battery operates less in colder weather (especially when it stands still for a more extended period). Of course, you can also have the battery tested for producing sufficient starting voltage.
Make sure you have proper snow tyres. Tires are the determining factor between the road and the car itself. With snow tyres, you have more grip on the snow and ice, providing more traction when trying to stop or turn on cold pavement. But constantly adjust your driving style, as snow tyres aren't an instant fix. There is still a chance of slipping and sliding, but snow tyres provide more grip. After all, you can't take those turns as fast as you are used to.
Finally, pay attention to the depth of the profile! If the profile is less than 4 mm, it is time for a quick pit stop to fit new tyres.
Pay attention to the door seals, too, because they can freeze. You can prevent this by spraying them with silicone spray. Is the door still frozen shut? Then, push carefully before you open the door to avoid the seals from tearing.
Do not use the parking brake in the cold. Instead, put your car in 1st or reverse gear. Doing this prevents the handbrake cable from freezing during frosty times.
Turn on the air conditioning or use climate control. It may sound crazy, but we recommend it. The dry, warm air for the AC is an effective way of getting your visibility back. At the same time, the AC helps to expel moisture from the car.
