Kroon-Oil B.V. Officially recognised UNICEF business Buddie

By participating in UNICEF's Plastic Bricks project, we are literally contributing to solving the plastic waste problem and supporting children's futures.

Kroon-Oil B.V. joins 'UNICEF Business Buddies', a concept that connects companies with the work of UNICEF. By supporting the 'Plastic Bricks' project, we stimulate education on the Ivory Coast and work towards a better environment. Ivory Coast has a huge waste problem. The capital, Abidjan, produces 288,000 kilos of plastic waste every day. UNICEF recycles some of this into plastic building blocks, which are used to build classrooms. At the moment, 1.6 million children in Côte d'Ivoire do not attend school. By donating a whole classroom, we can give some of these children the opportunity to get an education.

Quote Joliene (UNICEF The Netherlands)

"We are delighted with Kroon-Oil B.V.'s contribution," said Joliene Heimgartner of UNICEF Netherlands. "Without help, UNICEF cannot do nearly as much work. With this support, we can ensure that even more children in the Ivory Coast can go to school."

By joining UNICEF's Plastic Bricks project, we are literally contributing to solving the plastic waste problem while also supporting children's future.
