Kroon-Oil becomes the title sponsor of the Belgian Rally Championship
In recent years, the Belgian Rally Championship has grown into Europe's strongest national rally championship. Its image extends far beyond the national borders, which is why Kroon-Oil entered a two-year partnership as the new name sponsor of the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship.
Kroon-Oil B.V., located in Almelo, started in 1906 as a family business. Kroon-Oil now exports its specialized and high-quality oil products, produced in its own blending company, to more than 80 countries. Quality and service determine the DNA. The brand has been well-known in motorsport since the 1970s. Kroon-Oil's lubricants meet the highest quality standards. In recent years, Kroon-Oil has been put on the map in Belgian rallying by, among others, Hermen Kobus, who has been an ambassador of the oil brand for years, J-Motorsport, Melissa Debackere and Kevin Demaerschalk.
Kroon-Oil is enthusiastically looking forward to collaborating with the Belgian Rally Championship. Marketing Manager Leon ten Hove: "Kroon-Oil has been active on the Belgian market since 1995. Regarding sales, we do this with Belgian colleagues, with whom we certainly share a passion for motorsport. Because of this, we are closely involved in our sponsoring activities in Belgium. Lubricants and motorsport are still strongly linked. The high level of rallying in the BRC aligns with our ambitions. I have followed the championship for years because of my profession and interest. We immediately switched when the opportunity presented itself again to start working together. The timing was perfect, and it fits our brand to be internationally present at the highest levels of motorsport. Therefore, we look forward to implementing this partnership in the coming year."
BRC promoter Chris Courteyn is also looking forward to the collaboration: "We have been in talks with Kroon-Oil for many years. Hermen Kobus put us in touch when he started driving in Belgium. We are very happy that Kroon-Oil will become the name sponsor of the Belgian Rally Championship for two years. COVID-19 made 2020 a difficult sports year, but this new collaboration proves once again the BRC's strong image. This collaboration gives us opportunities to further strengthen the promotion of the Belgian rally championship."
In the meantime, the promoter, the RACB and the organizers are working hard on the calendar for the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship 2021. More news about that will come soon.
